Can a Conventional Army Vanquish a Terrorist Insurgency? (@jcpa), apparently yes. Maybe you can not have a total victory over terrorism, but you can achieve minimal victory. As was shown in history, in Israel in 2002 and 1970, in Ireland and Spain,in Chechnya and in Africa. It all depends on the determination of democracies to protect their values.
